Barcode scanners consists of a lens, light source and a sensor which manipulate optical impulses into electrical impulses. For analysis of the barcode’s image data barcode scanners consist of decoder circuit which decode the encoded labels through their sensors.

Barcode Printers are computer tool that is used for printing barcode labels and tags that are later on attached to physical objects or label cartons before shipment, it can also be used to label retail items.

Barcode printers use two types of techniques, on the basis of that techniques barcode printers are of two major types one is direct thermal printer and the other is thermal transfer printer.

Barcode printers are designed for different markets. Industrial barcode printers are used in large warehouses and manufacturing facilities. They have large paper capacities, operate faster and have a longer service life. For retail and office environments, desktop barcode printers are most common.
